Tongue rings, the art of tongue piercing.

Tongue rings are jewelry that you have pierce through
your tongue in order to wear it. Single piercing in the
center of the tongue is the most common way to
wear tongue rings. This form of jewelry is very hard
to wear because the piercing process will involve
the veins and nerves in the tongue and as well as the
frenulum which is responsible for securing the
motion of the tongue.
Tongue rings, is it painful to wear?
If it's done by a certified piercer with the correct
equipment, wearing tongue rings won't be as painful as
you might think. You can expect your tongue to swell
for around 3-7 days and it will take up to 4-6 weeks
to fully heal your tongue. That's why most
certified piercer advise that you don't smoke
engage in any activities that uses the mouth
too much during the healing period.
During the healing period, you will need
to rinse your mouth with antiseptic recommended
by your certified piercer. Avoid alcohol
as it will only irritate your tongue and
make the healing proecess slower.
The risk of hitting a vein during the piercing
process is minor because a certified piercer
should be able to avoid blood vessels. If the
bleeding is major and cannot be controlled,
be sure to contact a medical professional
immediately.
Tongue rings, what kind of jewelry can you wear?

straight barbells. Since the tongue is
involved in many activities such as eating
and talking, you will need to consider
the optimum size for a tongue ring
before piercing it to your tongue. The
