Sterling ring, 925 sterling silver.

for a sterling ring, they will usually
recommend that you have the 925 silver.
If you take a look at the sterling rings
you will find that most of them are hallmarked
as 925. What exactly is 925 then?
Well, silver is beautiful piece of metal
that looks just like white gold. So why
not 100 percent pure silver then? The
reason for this is simple. Pure silver is
very soft and it will even soften at room
temperature. Without some sort of
alloy, it won't be useful at all in
jewellery.
Sterling ring, sterling silver alloy.
In order to make silver stronger and last longer,
other metals need to be added.

silver with 7.5 percent of copper, the whole
problem is solved. With 925 silver, sterling ring
can be created and the silver will be
resistant to scratching and won't
get soften at room temperature.
